While most in the world view Feb. 14 as a day full of happiness, the Broward community treats it as a day of service to remember the 17 lives lost in 2018. Valentine's Day this year marked the fifth anniversary of the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. The tragedy shocked the country and devastated South Florida. Across Broward County Public Schools on Tuesday, students, faculty and staff performed acts of kindness to honor the victims' memories. At Plantation Middle School in Plantation, there was a drive-by continental breakfast for the City of Plantation first responders and city officials.
