Raging heat is beating down on South Florida, but that isn't stopping heavy thunderstorms from bringing flooding to certain areas Friday in a combination that is unique to the region. Around 3:10 p.m., the National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for parts of Broward County. It is in effect until 5:15 p.m. The advisory is for the following neighborhoods and cities: Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood, Davie, Plantation, Sunrise, Tamarac, Lauderhill, North Lauderdale, Lauderdale Lakes, Cooper City and Pine Island Ridge.
