US Navy - Press Release 29 July 2022 The Navy will commission its newest amphibious transport dock, the future USS Fort Lauderdale (LPD 28), during a 10 a.m. EDT ceremony Saturday, July 30, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida's 23rd District is the principal speaker.
